Corinne Olsen — Strings

Corinne is a freelance violinist and violist throughout Southern California.

She received her MM Viola Performance from CSULB and holds a BM Violin Performance with a minor of Music Business from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.

She is a member of the Golden State Pops Orchestra in San Pedro, violist for the Belmont String Quartet, and featured violist for rock musician Avery Watts. She is principal viola with the Junior Philharmonic Orchestra in Beverly Hills.

Niko Jasniewicz — Percussion

Niko Jasniewicz is an active percussion educator, designer, arranger and performer based in Southern California.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, where he studied music performance and education, as well as recording arts and music technology, Niko received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities/Music in 2006.

Since the beginning of his performance career in 1997 he has continued to travel the country with many performance ensembles and entertainment groups. Niko is an alumnus of Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps, RCC Indoor Percussion Ensemble, Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, and the USC Concert Orchestra.

Niko has instructed, arranged and designed for many independent ensembles in southern California including: Vessel Drum and Bugle Corps, Orange County Independent Percussion Open, Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps, Pulse Percussion, Odyssey Indoor Percussion, and Gold Drum and Bugle Corps. Additionally, he is an active performer and composer for Aerial Experience Productions and serves as their Music Director.

Alexis Masingill

Alexis is a highly decorated and sought after percussionist.

She has earned two WGI gold medals in her time spent at RCC, and she helped lead the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets to victory as an instructor in their inaugural Open Class season.

Alexis has performed with The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps as a featured timpanist and toured Japan as a member of The Brass Angels Odyssey Tour.

Ernie Vera — Color Guard

Ernie Vera grew up in Whittier, CA where he started his marching arts career at La Serna High School. While in high school, Ernie was introduced to Drum Corps by being a member of Impulse Drum Corps for two seasons.

Ernie marched Winter Guard in 2010 and 2013 with Diamante Winter Guard, and then later with Imbue Winter Guard in 2015.

Ernie’s teaching experience began in 2010. Previous Drum Corps experience includes being a Color Guard instructor for City Sound Drum Corps in 2014, and being a part of the Color Guard staff for Thunder Drum Corps in 2015 and 2016. This will be Ernie second year with Pioneer Drum Corps.
